How we handle your information
This page explains what Calorie Target Lab (“CTL”, “we”) does with the information you enter. It is written to match how the site actually works. If you only use the calculator once, very little is involved; the optional 90-day plan involves more, and we explain each part below.
Who is responsible
The service is operated by Daniel Turner, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, trading as Calorie Target Lab. He is the “controller” of the personal information described on this page. We do not publish a postal address; you can reach us by email. Contact for privacy questions and requests: hello@calorietargetlab.com.
1. Using the calculator once
- The calculator runs in your browser. The details you enter (age, sex, height, weight, activity, training, goal, and any body-fat figure) are used to produce your result on your own device.
- Nothing you enter for a one-time result is sent to our servers or stored. No account and no email address is needed.
- If you close or refresh the page your entries are gone; we do not keep a copy.
2. The optional 90-day plan
You only enter this flow if you choose “Start My Free 90-Day Weight Management Plan”. Then:
- Your email address is required so we can send your plan link and check-in reminders. You also tick a required consent box, which covers storing the details you entered (including health-related information such as weight) to build your plan, and emailing you the plan and reminders.
- The calculator answers you already entered are sent to our server so it can calculate your plan itself and keep it for the 90 days. Because body weight and body-composition information can be health-related, we treat it with care and collect only what the calculation needs.
- At each 14-day check-in you enter your recent weight averages, average intake, steps, training completed, hunger and energy ratings, an optional waist measurement, and whether something temporary (for example a scale reading affected by short-term factors) affected the period. We keep the numbers needed to adjust your target and show your Day-90 report. We store only a generic yes/no flag for temporary scale effects — not detailed personal notes.
- We ask whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding only to tell you that the calculator is not designed for those situations; no plan is created for those answers.
- Your plan is identified by a long random link (an opaque token). There is no username or password: anyone who has your link can open your plan, so please treat it like a private link.
- Marketing emails are separate and optional. Ticking the marketing box is never required to receive your plan or your reminders.
Where information is kept and who receives it

We do not sell your information. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on the site.
Calorie Target Lab and Forever Strong Coaching (foreverstrongcoaching.com) are both run by the same person, Daniel Turner, and some pages and emails promote his own coaching and high-protein nutrition services. Those are ordinary links: nothing you entered here is passed to those sites, and once you follow a link that site’s own privacy policy applies. If you later become a coaching client, that is a separate relationship with its own terms and privacy notice.
Cookies and browser storage
Calorie Target Lab does not set cookies and does not use your browser’s local or session storage. Cloudflare Turnstile runs Cloudflare’s own code in your browser only when you use the 90-day signup form; see Cloudflare’s privacy information for how that works. If this changes (for example if analytics is added), this page and any required consent controls will be updated first.
Why we use your information
- To calculate your targets and, if you start a plan, to run your 90-day check-ins and produce your report.
- To send the service emails you asked for (plan link, check-in reminders). Marketing emails only if you separately opted in.
- To keep the service secure (bot protection, abuse prevention) and to diagnose faults (server logs record events and short plan references, never your email, weight or answers).
Under UK data-protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), and the EU GDPR where it applies to you, we rely on the following:

How long we keep it
Our retention rules are simple. Plan records are kept while your plan is active. We delete a plan record 12 months after your plan finishes or after your last check-in, whichever is later, or sooner if you ask us to; we run this clean-up at least every three months. Your email subscriber record is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Standard hosting and security logs are kept by Cloudflare for the periods set in its own policies.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us to stop your reminders, deactivate your plan link, or delete your plan record and email subscription.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in them, without affecting your plan reminders.
- You have the right to access your information, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, receive a copy in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@calorietargetlab.com and we will respond within one month. To help us find your plan, include your personal plan link (we do not store your email address alongside your plan, so the link is how we locate it).
- If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113), or to the data-protection authority in your own country if you live in the EU. If you live in a US state with its own privacy law you may have additional rights, which you can exercise by contacting us in the same way. We do not sell personal information.
- Some of the providers above (Cloudflare, MailerLite, Zapier) may process information outside the UK and EU; they do so under their own international-transfer safeguards.
Changes
We will update this page if what we collect or who we use changes, and change the “last updated” date when we do.
